I had hear...I was so appalled when I saw the video. I had heard about it over and again throughout the day as I listened to satellite radio in my car. My first thought was "Surely it is not as bad as the media is presenting it, after all...he is still on the bench?"

I finally saw the video on someone's Facebook page and while I only had a few minutes to spare decided to click and watch. I was horrified! The language, demeanor and absolute total lack of control made me sick to my stomach! Even worse to think this young lady was already enduring differences with her condition than most of her peers, but to have "parents" who treat her this way? Awful. Just awful.

I pray for strength for this young lady and I am very glad to learn that he finally lost his job...one that he did not deserve to sit on to begin with! I only wish the video would have came out years ago. Prayers to Hilary for continued strength.LostNMissing, Inchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05966164357526401223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6032288097291902285.post-62779690176660180732011-11-25T08:38:47.136-05:002011-11-25T08:38:47.136-05:00Roger: I love your posts, as you paint a picture ...Roger: I love your posts, as you paint a picture quickly and get to the heart of the matter.... I MUST comment as a woman with cerebral palsy as well. I vaguely recall this story in the news and am not certain how long the abuse was inflicted... probably years.

No doubt this courageous woman not only had to fight to maintain her balance, abilities to make controlled movements, ambulate and perhaps other associated problems, but she also had to fight off her attacker- a profane monster who didn't have the decency to understand his daughter's disability and sought to use her to vent his frustration on the bench or whatever excuses he used!

This method of videotaping is often used to catch day care workers who are batterers.
Although the judge and his wife were caught and his legal career is over that is not enough in my opinion. Get out the gallows, put him in the town square for tar and featuring! As for the mother... she was complicit. There is no excuse for her not to protect her child. She could have done something proactive. Sorry, no tears for her!
I hope Hillary and others will stop by my website and read my latest blog on "Coping with Your Disability- Ladyjustice Style." With parents like hers, she needs all the help she can get!

Thanks!

Donna- "Ladyjustice"
www.donnagore.comDonna R. Truly Excellent.
I agree with you re t...Excellent. Truly Excellent.

I agree with you re the mother. She aided and abetted the domestic terrorist.

Mind you, if you check with her, in her mind she was thinking, "if I beat this child, then he will stop", him believing his wife is on his side, and she can beat the child less severly. Totally messed up thinking,of course.Lady Portiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15926578434258745634noreply@blogger.com
