I was in New York at the same time they were, but they would not talk to me there. They said if I would travel to their home and meet them, they would decide after meeting me if they would talk to me about their daughter. <br />With no one paying my travel expenses but me, it would have been difficult to comply with their request even if I knew they would talk to me once I arrived.
